The latest development includes the installation of outer wood wall panels, and the completion of the inside layout of the unit. The inner walls are set to receive interior wall panels, which will refine the space and add functionality to the units. One of the key aspects of the interior wall panels is their unique design, which was specifically requested by DTU. These panels are removable, allowing students to explore the structure and systems of the building. Plans were set in motion to launch pilot projects across Europe, with students invited to actively shape everything from layouts and indoor climate to how housing supports study, rest, and social life. From the very start, 2025 was about listening first and designing second. Throughout spring, that ambition gained structure. Student sign-ups and university conversations confirmed what Sciving had already sensed: there is strong demand for affordable, private, and well-designed housing that reflects how students actually live today. By March, preparations were underway to announce first locations, while continued testing and refinement ensured that the units themselves met high standards of comfort, flexibility, and efficiency. Every adjustment, from sound insulation to airflow, was driven by real-world use and long-term scalability.
