Sciving is moving ahead with plans to establish pilot projects in five European cities, taking the next step toward creating student housing shaped directly by students themselves. Each pilot will consist of between 50 to 200 residences, forming small-scale communities where students will help influence future Sciving designs based on their real-life experience living there.

While planning is progressing well, and we expects to announce the selected cities and universities within the next few months. In the meantime, students across Europe can already sign up to suggest universities where they want to see Sciving housing in the future. This is a unique opportunity for students to have a direct voice in deciding where Sciving should expand after these initial pilots. The sign-up form is available now on sciving.com, and Sciving encourages all interested students to get involved.

Unlike traditional housing developments, where designs are finalized long before students move in, Sciving takes a different approach. In these pilots, students will be actively involved from the moment they arrive, providing feedback on everything from study spaces and kitchen layouts to the overall sense of community and privacy. This direct input will ensure that future Sciving housing is built around how students actually live, study, and connect.

Each pilot project is being developed in collaboration with local university partners, making sure the housing fits both academic routines and the social culture of each location. Sciving believes that student housing works best when it reflects not only practical needs but also the unique character of each university community.

Sustainability is an important part of the design process, but not something Sciving presents as a standalone feature. Instead, students will experience sustainability directly through lower energy bills, better indoor climate, and smart materials that are both comfortable and environmentally responsible. By balancing sustainability with practical everyday benefits, Sciving ensures that comfort and affordability remain top priorities.

Sciving will share regular updates as the pilot plans develop, and once the locations are confirmed, applications will open for students interested in becoming the very first residents. The feedback from these early residents will play a key role in shaping how Sciving housing evolves in the years ahead.

With these pilots, Sciving is not just building housing. It is building a conversation with students about what great student living should look like. By signing up now and sharing where they want Sciving to go next, students have a real chance to influence both the future of Sciving and the future of student housing across Europe.
