- NEWS: Launching Student Housing in Europe | Sciving
March brings new momentum as Sciving moves closer to announcing the first locations for its student housing units. After months of preparation and ongoing conversations with universities across Europe, Sciving expects to share the selected sites in the coming months. 29th may 2025 Sciving continues testing to improve unit design ahead of next construction phase Picture taken at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) As May unfolds, Sciving remains focused on refining its student housing units ahead of the next construction project. While preparations continue for the first locations, ongoing testing and development are helping to make the units even more efficient, comfortable, and ready for large-scale production. Recent efforts have centered on improving both the interior layout and construction process. By closely studying how the units are built, assembled, and experienced in real conditions, Sciving’s team is identifying ways to streamline production and enhance overall quality. This includes refining material selections, simplifying assembly steps, and reviewing climate performance under different seasonal conditions. Sciving units are already designed with comfort and functionality in mind. Each one includes a private bathroom, kitchenette, study space, and sleeping area, all arranged to support a student’s daily life. As testing continues, the goal is to make every detail even more precise, whether that means adjusting lighting placements, improving sound insulation, or optimizing airflow for better indoor comfort. At the same time, Sciving is exploring ways to reduce time on site once construction begins. The modular nature of the homes allows for off-site preparation, and current testing is focused on shortening the time between delivery and installation. The aim is to make it easier and faster for universities and partners to bring Sciving units to their campuses or other locations. This phase of focused development is essential to ensure that when construction begins, everything runs smoothly. It also helps lay the foundation for future projects beyond the initial pilot sites. We remain committed to delivering high-quality housing that supports students in their studies, daily routines, and personal space. Further updates will follow as construction timelines are confirmed. In the meantime, we continue to invite students to suggest future locations through the sign-up form available online. - NEWS: Launching Student Housing in Europe | Sciving
March brings new momentum as Sciving moves closer to announcing the first locations for its student housing units. After months of preparation and ongoing conversations with universities across Europe, Sciving expects to share the selected sites in the coming months. 27th june 2025 Sciving moves forward with European expansion as university partnerships progress Picture taken at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) As we reach the halfway point of 2025, Sciving is entering a decisive period of growth. Interest in Sciving’s student housing concept continues to rise, and several key university partnerships are now moving closer to formal agreement. Conversations that began months ago have evolved into detailed planning, as universities across Europe explore how Sciving housing can support their long-term student accommodation goals. These discussions mark an important shift. Sciving is no longer just presenting a new idea in student housing, but working with institutions on five specific locations, project frameworks, and how to integrate our housing into their campuses or surrounding areas. Each university brings different priorities and timelines, but the shared momentum reflects a growing recognition that current housing models are struggling to meet the needs of students today. At the same time, Sciving is continuing to expand its network of collaborators. In parallel with university outreach, we are holding ongoing conversations with municipalities, landowners, and developers who play a central role in enabling housing near academic environments. These partnerships are essential to securing viable sites, navigating planning processes, and creating long-term stability around each location. Inside the organization, operations are scaling up to meet the demands of this new phase. Sciving’s internal teams are working to align manufacturing, logistics, and regulatory preparations to support the upcoming wave of projects. This involves not only preparing for the first pilot communities, but also building the systems and processes needed to support future locations efficiently and consistently. Sciving is built to be mobile and responsive, but quality remains at the core. Even as we grow, we continue to test, measure, and refine our work, from how quickly a unit can be delivered and installed to how our teams can best support long-term maintenance and student well-being. While site-specific details remain under wraps for now, Sciving encourages students to continue shaping the future of the project. Through our ongoing sign-up form, students can suggest universities or cities where they would like to see Sciving housing. These signals remain a valuable part of how we assess demand and guide our next steps. We look forward to sharing more concrete updates in the coming months, as locations are confirmed and first project timelines are announced. For now, we will continue to grow through conversation, collaboration, and commitment, while bringing us closer to the goal of rethinking what student living can be across Europe and the world.
